Usually, caryatids come in single or double pairs; but some balconies are so heavy that they require three statues and even as many as five (rue Jasmin!). Three façades have just one caryatid: the largest of all in the shape of an angel at 57 rue de Turbigo, one at 11 boulevard Voltaire and one of the smallest in the shape of a devil at 11 rue Géricault. |
